10 things to do with a finished coloring page
Colouring is only half of it. Here is what to do with the page once the pencils go down.
1. Create a Wall Collage
Gather your child's completed coloring pages and select a large poster board. Arrange the pages in an appealing layout and use double-sided tape to adhere them. Hang the collage in their bedroom or playroom to add a personal touch to the decor.
2. Make Greeting Cards
Cut out your child’s favorite colored images into cards. Fold card stock paper in half to form the card base. Glue the colored images onto the front. Write a message inside and give them as birthday cards or thank-you notes to family and friends.
3. Create a Puzzle
Take a finished coloring page and glue it onto a piece of cardboard. Once dry, cut it into various shapes to create a simple puzzle. Store the pieces in a small bag or box for easy access during playtime.
4. Decorate Gift Wrap
Use completed coloring pages as unique gift wrap. Cut the pages to fit around a small gift box and secure with tape. Add a ribbon on top for a delightful finishing touch that showcases your child's artistry.
5. Make a Bookmark
Select a colored page and cut it into a long rectangle shape. Laminate the bookmark for durability, then punch a hole at one end and thread a piece of ribbon through it. This makes a personalized bookmark perfect for reading.
6. Create a Storybook
Compile several coloring pages your child has completed and use a three-ring binder or a stapler to bind them together. Leave a few blank pages for your child to write stories or descriptions about each picture.
7. Classroom Display
If you’re a teacher, collect students' finished coloring pages and display them on a bulletin board. Arrange them by theme or color. Add a title banner to highlight the students’ creativity and efforts in the classroom.
8. Make Magnets
Select small sections of a coloring page and glue them onto magnet sheets. Cut them out to create custom fridge magnets. This is a fun way to showcase your child's art while keeping important notes and reminders in view.
9. Craft a Mobile
Choose several colored pages and cut out various shapes. Attach them to strings and hang from a circular frame or a coat hanger. Display the mobile in your child’s room to add a whimsical touch to the decor.
10. Develop a Game
Use finished coloring pages to create a simple matching game. Cut out matching sets of images, shuffle them, and place them face down. Players take turns flipping over two at a time, trying to find pairs. It’s an engaging way to use their artwork.
How to print these pages
Use the PDF rather than the image, set scaling to 100% (not “fit to page”), and pick the file that matches your paper — A4 outside the US, Letter inside it. Printing in grayscale or draft mode saves a lot of ink. Full printing guide →
We hope these coloring pages inspire creativity and fun for your little ones. Enjoy the moments of coloring together.
